Homeowner Program
Service Areas / 2011 Participating Heritage Cities
Faced with the pattern of population moving further from the urban center and aging housing stock, CRS is concerned about the future of our region's architectural treasures and older neighborhoods. The Heritage Home Program (SM) is designed to counter this trend.
2011 Participating Heritage Cities
CUYAHOGA COUNTY:
Cuyahoga, one of Ohio's most populous counties, estimates that 389,723 of its housing units were built prior to 1960 – a substantial number of properties meeting the 50-year-old age criteria of the National Register of Historic Places. In 1992, the Cleveland Restoration Society launched our housing rehabilitation program in the City of Cleveland. In 2001, we expanded into the inner-ring suburbs.
In partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation's "Partners in the Field" and the Ohio Housing Finance Agency our Heritage Home Program team is always working to expand the program into your community. New areas are offering the program all of the time so check back here often for the latest updates!
