Resources / Old House How-To

We love the charming details often found in older houses, the wood floors, pocket doors, built-ins, period light fixtures, and big front porches. These amenities sometimes take special care, such as figuring out how to strip paint or restore a finish, rebuilding front steps, or finding the perfect hardware. These resources will help you plan your project. The staff of the Cleveland Restoration Society are also available to advise you if you live in a Heritage Partner City.
