Heritage Home Program Assistant

The Cleveland Restoration Society offers a full time position for an assistant in the Heritage Home Program, an innovative program offered in participating cities in northeastern Ohio. The program provides low interest loans and technical assistance to owners of older and historic homes. The Heritage Home Program Assistant will work extensively with potential clients on the phone and through the internet.  

Some local travel, the expense of which is reimbursed, may be required. The Cleveland Restoration Society is a Local Partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, excellent facility with internet communications, and additional skills from which the organization might benefit. Those additional skills might include experience in the customer service field, banking field, housing and historic preservation fields.

After a probation period, the successful Heritage Home Program Assistant will join our high quality organization and enjoy a full benefits package including excellent health insurance and vacation time.


 
Historic Preservation Organizational Intern (full or part time, TBD)

The Cleveland Restoration Society has a position open for an intern eager to learn the ropes in working for a successful, fast-paced historic preservation non-profit organization. The Cleveland Restoration Society is a Local Partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Historic Preservation intern will assist senior staff members with a range of tasks, including administrative and clerical ones.  

The successful candidate will have a firm grasp of the historic preservation field, its role in city planning and economic development, and excellent workplace skills including communication, internet and business software facility, including PowerPoint and digital camera work. A competitive hourly rate will be paid, with no additional benefits.

This position is viewed as a short-term opportunity for the organization to assess the capacities of the intern for a longer term employment relationship. The schedule will be determined to be mutually advantageous to the organization and the selected candidate.
