Kathleen H. Crowther, Executive Director
Kathleen H. Crowther has been Executive Director of the Cleveland
Restoration Society (CRS) since 1987.
Under her leadership, CRS has become a nationally recognized preservation organization that plays a vital role in resolving challenging preservation issues in the urban, suburban, and outlying regional areas of Northeast Ohio.
During her tenure, successful programs have been created and continue to thrive; including the Neighborhood Historic Preservation Program, the Sacred Landmarks Assistance Program, and the Heritage Home Preservation Program.(SM)
CRS is an official partner of the National Trust, and Kathleen recently completed her term representing the State of Ohio as a National Trust Advisor. A native Clevelander, Kathleen earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Art History and English from Case Western Reserve University, and a master’s degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University.
In addition to her work in historic preservation, Kathleen has chaired the Cultural Arts & Events Committee of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland’s esquicentennial celebration, which brought a major show of art from the Vatican Museum collection to the Cleveland Museum of Art.
