Historic Preservation Goes International
Kathleen Crowther, Executive Director of the Cleveland
Restoration Society was one of seven American cultural managers
welcomed in France Saturday to begin a nine day study tour on
historic preservation. This study tour will allow participants
to strengthen ties with French partners and to initiate
collaborations. Organized by the Department of European and
International Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Media and
the Maison des Cultures du Monde, the tour is part of the
framework of the agreement on cultural cooperation signed by the
French Ministry of Culture and the French-American Foundation in
New York.
The Cleveland Restoration Society is the region’s largest
non-profit preservation organization and is a Local Partner
affiliate of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Founded in 1972, the Society is dedicated to the preservation of
