Restoration Society Celebrates African American Architects
The Cleveland Restoration
Society will host a presentation and book signing by Dreck Spurlock
Wilson, editor of African
American Architects: A Biographical Dictionary, 1865 – 1945 at
2:00 pm on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Western Reserve Historical
Society located at 10825 East Boulevard. Written by more than
100 experts ranging from architectural historians to archivists,
this unique reference source chronicles the fascinating lives
and careers of men and women who made significant contributions,
albeit anonymously, to our country’s architectural heritage.
The event, which will also honor Cleveland architect Robert P.
Madison, is sponsored by Ozanne Construction, Bradley Construction,
AIA-Cleveland, and the Western Reserve Historical Society. Limited

The Cleveland Restoration
Society/Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio is
