RESTORATION SOCIETY AWARDS EXEMPLARY PRESERVATION PROJECTS
On Wednesday, July 27,
2005 the Cleveland Restoration Society will announce the winners
of the 2005 Preservation Awards at its 33rd Annual Membership
Meeting. The program will be held at the recently renovated Myers
University Club, 3813 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland from 5:30 to 7:00
PM. The awards recognize exemplary preservation projects and
individuals that have made a significant, positive impact in
Northeast Ohio.
This year the Society
will present 13 awards in a variety of categories, including
Historic Home Preservation, Commercial Revitalization, Cultural
Heritage Preservation, Ongoing Stewardship, Adaptive Use to Multi-Family
Housing, Adaptive Use to Institutional/Educational Facility,
Public Building Restoration, Restoration of an Important Detail,
Restoration of an Historic Club Building and Organizational Achievement.
Projects from throughout Northeast Ohio are represented.
The program will include
a brief overview of the Society’s
activities over the past year and election of new officers and
trustees. A reception at Myers University Club follows the program.
The event is open to the public and is free for members. Non-members
may attend at a cost of $35, which includes a one-year membership.

The Cleveland Restoration
Society/Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio is
the region’s largest
non-profit preservation organization and is a Local Partner affiliate
of the National Trust. Founded in 1972, the Society is dedicated
to the preservation of Greater Cleveland’s historic resources.
