Cleveland Restoration Society Offers Home Repair Assistance
Is your home at least
50 years old? The Cleveland Restoration Society (CRS), a non-profit
organization, provides free consultation services on the repair
and preservation of older and historic homes in Cuyahoga County.
Homeowners can call CRS for advice on such issues as masonry
repair, window preservation, roof repair, and historic paint
color schemes. To help make projects affordable for homeowners,
several municipalities have enrolled in CRS’ historic
home rehabilitation loan programs. The following municipalities
are currently participating: City of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights,
University Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst,
East Cleveland, Chagrin Falls, Pepper Pike, Independence, Parma,
Lakewood, Rocky River, Westlake, Bay Village. Owner-occupied
and rental properties of 1 – 3 units are eligible for the
loan programs. For more information, call (216) 426-1000 or visit www.clevelandrestoration.org.
The Cleveland Restoration
Society/Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio is
the region’s largest
non-profit preservation organization and is a Local Partner affiliate
of the National Trust. Founded in 1972, the Society is dedicated
to the preservation of greater Cleveland’s historic resources.
