Restoration Society Offers Historic Masonry Repair Workshop
The Cleveland Restoration
Society will host “Historic
Masonry: Assessment & Repair,” a workshop on the maintenance
and repair of older brick or stone structures on Thursday, May
26, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its headquarters located
at 3751 Prospect Avenue. Expert masons from the Harry S. Peterson
Company will cover foundation and chimney condition assessment,
graffiti removal, proper re-pointing and more and will provide
a hands-on demonstration. The workshop is open to building inspectors,
contractors, real estate professionals, or any person interested
in or responsible for brick or stone structures built before
1955. The cost is $25. Continuing Education credits are pending
with the Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing.
