Restoration Society Offers 4th Regional Conference in Akron

The Cleveland Restoration
Society and Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio
(CRS) will hold its 4th regional preservation conference, Preservation
Summit: Community Preservation in Northeast Ohio. The one-day
conference, which will be held at the University of Akron’s
Student Union and Conference Center, will feature several educational
sessions and tours of such locations like Stan Hywet Hall, Akron’s
Historic Residential Neighborhoods, and Akron’s Sacred
Landmarks.
It is open to the public
and will address a variety of topics that will be of interest
to homeowners, municipalities, advocates, neighborhood groups,
realtors, architects, planners, community leaders, and anyone
interested in the preservation and community development fields.
Homeowners will receive tips for maintaining their older home,
organizing rehab projects, selecting a contractor, exterior painting,
improving energy efficiency and more. Continuing education credits

The Cleveland Restoration
Society/Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio is
the region’s largest
non-profit preservation organization and is a Local Partner affiliate
of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Founded in 1972,
the Society is dedicated to the preservation of Greater Cleveland’s
historic resources.
