RESTORATION SOCIETY OFFERS SACRED
LANDMARKS TOUR
On Sunday, May 16th, 2004
from 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., the Cleveland Restoration Society
and Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio will hold a
trolley tour of three historic sacred landmarks in Cleveland’s
Tremont neighborhood. The tour features visits to Pilgrim Congregational
Church, St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cathedral, and St. Michael
Catholic Church. Timothy Barrett, local architectural historian and
life-long Cleveland resident, will lead the tour, and presenters
include Christine Krosel, Director of Archival research for the Catholic
Diocese of Cleveland. Following the tour, refreshments will be served
at the Sarah Benedict House.
This event is open to
the public. Tour tickets are $25 for Cleveland Restoration Society
members and $35 for non-members. The trolley leaves from the Cleveland
Restoration Society’s headquarters at the Sarah Benedict House,
3751 Prospect Avenue. For information and registration, call the

The Cleveland Restoration
Society/Preservation Resource Center of Northeastern Ohio is the
region’s largest non-profit preservation organization and is
a Local Partner affiliate of the National Trust. Founded in 1972,
the Society is dedicated to the preservation of greater Cleveland’s
historic resources. The Society’s Sacred Landmarks Assistance
Program was established to assist congregations in Northeast Ohio
with the preservation of their historic religious properties.
