RESTORATION SOCIETY HOSTS ENERGY CONSERVATION WORKSHOP

On Saturday, March 15, 2003 from 9:00 to 1:30 the Sacred Landmarks Assistance Program of the Cleveland Restoration Society will sponsor a half-day public workshop on Energy Conservation in Historic Houses of Worship. The workshop will offer participants practical advice on lowering energy and maintenance costs. Andrew Rudin, a nationally known energy management specialist, will be the featured speaker. Mr. Rudin specializes in energy conservation for houses of worship and has helped congregations across the country cut spending on utilities.

The workshop is open to the public. The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members and includes lunch. The workshop will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Lane Metropolitan C.M.E. Church, a designated Cleveland landmark located at the corner of East 46th Street and Cedar Avenue. Pre-registration is required. For information and registration contact the Sacred Landmarks Assistance Program at (216) 426-3118.

The Cleveland Restoration Society is the region’s largest non-profit preservation organization and is a Local Partner affiliate of the National Trust. Founded in 1972, the Society is dedicated to the preservation of greater Cleveland’s historic resources.
